A little poll

As always, we're feverishly working away on upcoming releases, and the list is quite long (and growing).  Deciding what to give priority can sometimes be quite hard, and the Spec-Sec line is probably the more difficult one to organize in a way that the consumer will appreciate.  So we are turning to you to ask, "hey, which of these Spec-Sec release would you like to see before the others?"

1. Aero-pursuit (flying things and related items)
2. Rogue borgs and bots (Spec-Sec's gotta have badguys to face, right?)
3. Police, Riot Police, and their conveyances
4. City/urban accessories and dross (dumpsters, kiosks, vending carts and machines, etc.)
5. Military grade Battle-armors

The next Spec-sec release, slatted for mid April or May, is already decided and mostly complete but you'll have to wait until next month for teasers.  In the meantime, please give the above list a ponder and give us a response to what YOU would like to see next!

Honestly, i'd like them in exactly the order you have them listed.

I think it is important, when creating a new universe, to make sure balance the releases of two opposing forces. Releasing a bunch of para-military police stuff to start is good because people will pick them up for military forces as well. It is then important to release things to fight in the context you have created for these new figures.

So much wallet destroying potential in those 5 items….

I would suggest that you start with #5, military grade Battle-armors (I am making an assumption that you’re also referring to the 30mm mechs in this category and not just tanks). The landmate style mech is absolutely unique in this scale, and will really cause some heads to turn on the tabletop. You could then release the borgs and bots since they can be spec sec or opponents depending on how you paint them. I would concentrate on the ultra cool and unique items as 15mm is pretty much mix and match as far as rules and figures go.

1. Rogue borgs and bots - We need bad guys.
2. Police, Riot Police, and their conveyances - We need more good guys.
3. Military grade Battle-armors - We need more hardware
4. City/urban accessories and dross (dumpsters, kiosks, vending carts and machines, etc.) - We need a fitting setting
5. Aero-pursuit (flying things and related items) - Then take to the skies

I'd suggest Police first - it will help to flesh this out as a good urban-themed range. Thematically, these would be followed by rogue borgs and other villains.

The military battle armor and aircraft will have plenty of appeal, but figures will be a great starting point. They will bring in more and more customers, which will in turn help the sales of the larger models once they are released.

1) Riot Police, police, conveyances (Big armored trucks like in GiTs or Appleseed) I want to round off my force of good guys before moving on to the baddies.
2) Rogue Bots
3) Military Grade Bots. I think these would sell well in many gaming genres and help you keep the cash flowing. An ambulatory tracked tank like the GiTs HAW-206 Type-18 Tank would be fantastic, but I have been encouraging Rebel Minis to make something similar.
4) Small Patrol Helicopters (Think double rotor, single pilot Appleseed helicopter)
5) Scenary I can get other places, but truely unique stuff is always welcome.

Thank you for the input! Looks like Coppers are a popular choice so far.

#2 please, I'm generally overjoyed at the selection we 15mm gamers enjoy, but I've found the drones and robot selection to be a little lacking.

Police and para-military equipment are top of my list... followed by the robot stuff. Then military stuff IF it has something to set it apart from what's already available.
Appleseed and SF3D (Maschinen Krieger) are two styles everyone seems to love that I don't see represented much in gaming stuff. Too many very near future looking tanks/APCs... everything angular and boxy. I'd like to see more sleek curves on things.
