As it's that time of year (what is it with Septembers?!?!?!), everything seems to have slowed down. We have some delays in the figure sculpting for the Colony-15 line at the moment, but there have been advances in additions for Spec-Sec. Won't show you any pictures now, but instead will ambush you when things are closer to release. Gotta preserve "State Secrets" and all of that... :D
But I CAN add that there are also some buildings in the works! Colony-15 is having it's first Family Farmstead built as well as the local Militia Barracks, and some 4-8 story buildings for beautification of you Spec-Sec urban operating environment are also underway. You know, the sort of things you'd see around Haper or Nada or elsewhere in the highly developed cities on Aarres. (Oh, what? You didn't know Spec-Sec is set on a different planet? Maybe it does, maybe it doesn't. Hmmm... better wait for the book that explains it all. Yes, a book!) These buildings will most likely end up being produced in high density foam, if we can get it to hold all the detail. Otherwise we'll have to switch to resin. And we've been getting some questions about the long-ago mentioned Colony-15 vehicles... Yes, they are being worked on as we speak, and will probably see the light of day around late December or January. The Dark Star 15mm vehicles are taking precedent at the moment. More updates soon!

The Zonii have been quite the popular critters since their introduction, outselling everything else we have released to date. And what's not to like? They're semi-primitive, look sort of scary, and ride ill-tempered beasties that are just as likely to munch sulfuric acid-laced native fungi as snack on meaty-delicious human colonists. There obviously needs to be more Zonii. There are more beast poses in the works, as well as new critters and "pack mule" versions of the original, but that's not enough. So sound off and let us know what you'd like to see for the Zonii, and we'll set to expanding the range! Look what arrived at DSG HQ in the mail today: Yup, those are the 15mm S'orhan and Puma on the left, and the Talin on the lower right. Shown with them for scaling are a 1/56 scale Stryker (painted on top left), an unpainted 1/100 scale Stryker (on right, above Talin) and a 15mm M48 tank. Also shown are their 6mm counterparts.
Yup, the Puma and S'orhan are BIG, but then again they are meant to bring whole platoons down from orbit and support them during an assault landing, rather than being employed in the traditional battlefield-taxi role, like the Talin. So, after a touch of cleanup these babies will be off to be caste. Look for them in a month or so. Their preparedness for sale will be heralded with much fanfare. |
