Shipping Information
Payments
Darkest Star Games LLC only accepts payment through PayPal. But fear not! You can still use your credit card to make the payment through PayPal, even without an account. If you do not have a credit card or a PayPal account, a good friend who does may be able to help you out.
Orders are gladly taken from all over the world -- our prices are in USD, but don't worry about exchange rates, PayPal will take care of this for you, and convert your payment from the US dollar to your currency when it is taken from your bank account (or credit card).
How to order
Each item description includes a "buy button" as well as the number of items in a pack. Just click the ones you want, and PayPal registers the order for ONE pack of each item. When you have all the items you want chosen, increase the pack quantities in PayPal using the cart update to get your desired totals of each item. Then process the order as you would normally using PayPal. If you are using a credit card, PayPal will prompt you on how to do that.
Shipping
Orders within the USA ship via first class or 2-day priority mail, with delivery confirmation to make sure you get your package. Costs are:
Up to $30.00 is $9.50
From $30.01 to $40.00 is $11.00
From $40.01 to $50.00 is $12.50
From $50.01 to $75.00 is $14.00
and orders over $75.00 ship free
International orders ship as parcels by normal air mail. Large orders may come in several small packages due to our parcel size constraints. Postage is not affected by this. Shipping costs to all non-US destinations are based on the amount of the order and are as follows:
From $0.01 to $30.00 is $24.00
From $30.01 to $50.00 is $26.00
From $50.01 to $65.00 is $28.00
From $65.01 to $86.00 is $30.00
and $86.01 and up is $34.00
With the constantly increasing costs of shipping making a serious dent in the customers pockets the above prices are expected shipping rates via USPS but we make ever effort to refund excess charged shipping that is not utilized in the actual postage.
Delivery times
We make every effort to get your package to you as soon as is humanly possible, usually shipping within 48 hours of receiving your order. We will do our best to get your package to you, but once it leaves our hands it is unfortunately at the mercy of your local postal service (and maybe even the weather...).
If any items are out of stock, we will notify you immediately so you can decide whether to wait for the items to be restocked before shipping, or to send the rest of your order on to you immediately with the balance being sent out as soon as we receive the back-ordered items. Any items shipping "late" in this way will not be charged new postage.
Taxes
Orders to be shipped to Texas will need to include the state and local tax. Texas residents be advised that, if your order does not include a Texas tax rate when it is calculated, we will need to separately invoice you for the tax before we ship your order.
For those receiving shipping outside the USA, you will be responsible for any tax or other duty payable on the shipment or the miniatures when they arrive at your destination (or at your taxing authority). Please do not ask us to misrepresent the price of your delivery as this is against the law in the US (and probably in your country as well) and would subject both parties to liability.
Lost or damaged packages
We understand that some items may have thin and possibly fragile parts, but we cannot accept responsibility for packages that are lost or damaged in the hands of the delivery service, as it is often difficult to ascertain whether items were actually damaged in transit or by the recipient . If the shipper is required to assert a claim for lost or damaged packages, we will do so to the full extent possible. We will provide you with the customs number (if it is an overseas shipment) or the delivery confirmation number (if it is a shipment in the States) to confirm that the package was sent out.
If this is not satisfactory to you, but you'd still like to order, you may want to consider purchasing insurance for your package, or upgrading it to a more secure shipping method. Please contact me and I will let you know what insurance prices or alternate shipping fees are for your package.
Returns and Replacements
All sales are final. However, if you wish to return a product within 30 days of shipment of the order, please contact us and we can discuss a restocking, which we will usually do at 75% return of price of the items. We do not consider this to be unreasonable as images are available of all items on the site, and we need to be compensated for the time spent processing and shipping your order.
We use only the best mold makers and casters in the industry (and sometimes ourselves). Please understand that though we try to check every piece to see if it is a perfect casting, some castings of less-than-perfect quality may slip through. If anything is miscast, please let us know. After contacting us by e-mail so we can discuss the issue(s), you can return the miscast piece to us, or scan/take photos of all of the miscast pieces, and we will replace pieces that are miscast.
