Our Kickstarter project is humming along, with just a week left to go! The first stretch goal is fast approaching, and in the updates section we've revealed the full Venturian Lift Infantry Squad, as seen below: Yeah, they're pretty rad!
And as if that wasn't enough, we also just put up pictures of a concept models for each of the upcoming (and unlockable) new Dark Star factions! You can check them out here! So tell all of your friends, get a little pledge love going, and we'll be able to get all of these great things into your hands ASAP! (You know you want to....)

I have tried a bit of GoogleFu this morning, but really cannot find anything...is there some sort of background to the Venturians? With them being made in three (or is it four?) different scales by various manufacturers, I would have thought that means they are inspired by or to be used in conjunction with some sort of established setting, but I have yet to find one. Thanks!

As far as I know, only Eureka and ourselves make Vents in 15mm, Denizen has them and Feds in 25mm, and we have 6mm. Leon and Chub originally created them, but Leon has only passed on that the Vents have a culture similar to Feudal Japan. I plan a write up soon and will be doing some brain picking shortly!

Excellent! One thing I have found, for myself, is that when a figure line has a background story, a canon as it were, it seems to help drive my purchases if I like the background. And I was just saying with the other options for Venturians, I am surprised that a background story hasn't already been put out there somewhere!

Having received the Venturian infantry and command figures I'm impressed by the cast quality and pose selection. An excellent set of figures. Now all I need to do is paint them as they deserve!

Completely agree. The Darkest Star figures are really, really nice. I like the lack of bazooka sized small arms (most companies make their small arms way too large). Detail and animation are very good. There are several companies making great quality 15mm sci-fi, so it is difficult to stick with one, but I will say Darkest Star will have more purchases from me in the future if they keep releasing more figures!
